Chicken Glaze
Makes 3 CupsThis is just what you need for your cupcake chicken , your chicken thighs, or if you want to get fancy and glaze a whole bird.
Ingredients
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ cup Jack’s Old South Vinegar Sauce or make your own
- ½ cup Jack’s Old South Hickory Sauce or make your own
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons ½ stick unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Pour all the ingredients into the base of a large blender.
- Blend thoroughly to combine for about 3 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a medium pot and, over medium heat, stir constantly until the sauce is hot.
- Do not allow it to come to a boil.
- Remove from the stove and glaze your chicken while the sauce is still warm.
- If you are reserving this for a later use, pour the sauce into a large container.
- Store, refrigerated, for up to 2 months.
- Always reheat this glaze before using.
