Equipment

Ingredients

  • 5 lb. chicken pieces
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 ½ cups finely chopped onion
  • 3-4 teaspoons sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 4 teaspoons chicken bouillon 4 cubes
  • 3-4 cups water enough to cover the chicken
  • 2 tablespoons flour mixed with 2 cups sour cream

Instructions

  • In a heavy pot, boil the butter, oil, onion, paprika, chicken bouillon, and water.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the pot and simmer covered until tender.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot, then bone and skin it.
  • Add the flour and sour cream mixture to the pot along with the chicken.
  • Do not bring to a boil again.
  • Serve the chicken paprika with cooked rice.
