- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructies
- In a small saucepan, combine the white wine, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, whisking occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
- Reduce the heat and allow the sauce to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens slightly.
- Stir in the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Brush the glaze over a cooked ham during the last 15-20 minutes of roasting, basting every 5 minutes to create a flavorful, caramelized coating.
- Serve the ham with any remaining wine sauce drizzled over the top.
