Ham Wine Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ T butter
  • T flour
  • 1 can consommé bay leaf
  • t thyme
  • 1 T sherry or Madeira

Instructions

  • Melt butter and cook flour until well browned.
  • Add consommé, bay leaf and thyme.
  • Simmer 20 minutes.
  • Strain.
  • Add sherry.
  • Baste on ham during cooking.
