Loaded Nacho Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
- ½ a Jalapeño pepper seeded and finely chopped
- Nacho chips
- 1 tablespoon picante-style salsa
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese
- 6 slices sourdough bread
- ½ cup Monterey Jack cheese shredded
- Butter or butter spread
- ½ cup medium Cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine room temperature cream cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, shredded medium Cheddar cheese, diced jalapeño, and salsa.
- Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- On the non-buttered side of three slices of bread, spread equal amounts of the cheese mixture.
- Crumble 5 or 6 nacho chips on top of the cheese mixture on each of the three slices of bread.
- Top each prepared slice of bread with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Cook the sandwiches at 325°F for four minutes on each side.
- Once cooked, slice the sandwiches and serve hot as a delicious appetizer at any fiesta!
