Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches
  • 2 cups nonfat plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • In a 2- to 3-quart pan, bring about 1 quart of water to a boil over high heat.
  • Immerse the peaches in boiling water for 15 seconds, then drain.
  • Let the peaches cool for 1 to 2 minutes until they are cool enough to touch.
  • Peel, pit, and cut the peaches into chunks.
  • In a blender, combine the peach chunks, nonfat plain yogurt, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  • Blend on high speed for about 1 minute until smooth.
  • Add the ice cubes to the blender.
  • Continue blending for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and frosty.
  • Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and serve immediately.
