Equipment

  • Large container (10-gallon capacity)

Ingredients

  • 25 lbs. sugar
  • 20 oz. plus 5 cups instant tea
  • 10 gallons boiling water
  • Large block of ice

Instructions

  • In a large container, blend together sugar and 20 oz.
  • of instant tea until the sugar melts.
  • Add boiling water to the mixture and let it steep for a few minutes.
  • Once steeped, add a large block of ice to the container.
  • Slowly pour in 7 1/2 to 8 gallons of cold water, stirring well.
  • Finally, add the remaining 5 cups of instant tea and stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Serve chilled over ice.
