In a large container, blend together sugar and 20 oz.
of instant tea until the sugar melts.
Add boiling water to the mixture and let it steep for a few minutes.
Once steeped, add a large block of ice to the container.
Slowly pour in 7 1/2 to 8 gallons of cold water, stirring well.
Finally, add the remaining 5 cups of instant tea and stir until thoroughly combined.
Serve chilled over ice.
