Sticky Scotch Fillet with Sweet Glaze
A flavorful scotch fillet coated in crunchy tortilla chips and glazed with a sweet and sticky sauce.
Ingredients
For the Scotch Fillet:
- 2 pounds scotch fillet sliced into strips
- 4 tablespoons tortilla chips crushed
- Cooking spray
- 2 green onions chopped
For the Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon dried dill
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 390°F (199°C).
- Coat the scotch fillet strips evenly with crushed tortilla chips.
- Spritz with cooking spray.
- Place the coated strips in the Air Fryer basket and cook for 30 minutes, shaking the basket every 10 minutes.
- While the beef cooks, prepare the sauce: heat butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic, rosemary, and dill, and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in beef broth, fish sauce, and honey.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Once cooked, transfer the beef strips to the saucepan with the sauce and coat evenly.
- Let sit for about 8 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
- Optionally, serve over egg noodles.
