Ingredients
- 2 lbs. chicken wings
- ½ stick margarine
- 1 bottle 12 oz. hot sauce (e.g., Durkee)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 10 shakes Tabasco sauce
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper optional
Instructions
- Preheat the deep fryer or a large pot of oil to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry the chicken wings in batches for about 10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Drain them on paper towels.
- In a saucepan, melt the margarine over low heat.
- Stir in the hot sauce, honey, Tabasco sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Cook until the sauce is heated through and well combined.
- Dip each fried chicken wing into the sauce, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Allow them to set in the sauce for a few minutes.
- Remove the wings from the sauce and let them dry briefly on a wire rack.
- Serve hot as an appetizer.
