Shrimp & Crab Casserole

  • Wild long-grain rice ready to serve 2 packages (8.8 ounces) Cubed, butter ¼ cup
  • Chopped celery ribs 2
  • Chopped onion 1 medium
  • All-purpose flour 3 tablespoon
  • Cream half and half 1-1/2 cup
  • Seafood seasoning 1 teaspoon
  • Salt ¾ teaspoon
  • Hot sauce ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper ¼ teaspoon
  • Shrimp 1-1/2 pounds 31-40 per pound, uncooked, deveined, and peeled Drained lump crabmeat 2 cans (6 ounces each)
  • Jack Monterey Colby cheese 1 cup shredded

Instructies

  • Preheat the oven to 350°
  • Spread the rice in the greased 13×9-inch baking dish.
  • Take a large skillet, then heat the butter on medium heat.
  • Add the onion and celery, stir, and cook it until it gets tender for just 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Stir it in flour until it gets blended.
  • Slowly whisk it in cream.
  • Let it boil, stir it constantly, stir and cook it until it gets thickened for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Spirit in the seafood seasoning, pepper, hot sauce, and salt.
  • Fold it in shrimp and the crabs.
  • Spoon it on the rice, sprinkle it with cheese.
  • Covered and bake it until the shrimp gets changed its color for just 40 to 45 minutes.
  • Let it wait for 5 minutes before the serving and enjoy.
