Shrimp & Crab Casserole

- Wild long-grain rice ready to serve 2 packages (8.8 ounces) Cubed, butter ¼ cup
- Chopped celery ribs 2
- Chopped onion 1 medium
- All-purpose flour 3 tablespoon
- Cream half and half 1-1/2 cup
- Seafood seasoning 1 teaspoon
- Salt ¾ teaspoon
- Hot sauce ½ teaspoon
- Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Shrimp 1-1/2 pounds 31-40 per pound, uncooked, deveined, and peeled Drained lump crabmeat 2 cans (6 ounces each)
- Jack Monterey Colby cheese 1 cup shredded
Instructies
- Preheat the oven to 350°
- Spread the rice in the greased 13×9-inch baking dish.
- Take a large skillet, then heat the butter on medium heat.
- Add the onion and celery, stir, and cook it until it gets tender for just 6 to 8 minutes.
- Stir it in flour until it gets blended.
- Slowly whisk it in cream.
- Let it boil, stir it constantly, stir and cook it until it gets thickened for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Spirit in the seafood seasoning, pepper, hot sauce, and salt.
- Fold it in shrimp and the crabs.
- Spoon it on the rice, sprinkle it with cheese.
- Covered and bake it until the shrimp gets changed its color for just 40 to 45 minutes.
- Let it wait for 5 minutes before the serving and enjoy.
