Smoky Apple & Gouda Delight
Ingrediënten
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 4-5 oz. smoked Gouda cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 slices Hawaiian sweet bread
- Butter or butter spread
Instructies
- Peel and core the Granny Smith apple, then slice it into about 16 slices.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the sliced apples and cook for about 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the slices soften.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- On the non-buttered side of two slices of bread, arrange ¼ of the smoked Gouda cheese.
- Spread half of the cooked apple slices on each slice of bread, then add the remaining cheese on top of the apples.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Cook the sandwiches at 325°F for four minutes on each side.
