Southwest Pork Green Chili
Ingrediënten
- 2 pounds pork chops or roast
- ½ teaspoon minced garlic
- 16 ounces canned tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cans 14 ounces each green chilies
- 1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash seasoning blend
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Warm tortillas for serving
Instructies
- Place pork in a large pot and cover with water.
- Cook until pork is tender and fully cooked.
- Remove pork from pot, reserving the broth.
- Allow pork to cool, then shred it.
- Set aside.
- In a blender, combine minced garlic, canned tomatoes, flour, and Mrs.
- Dash seasoning blend.
- Blend until smooth.
- Transfer the tomato mixture to a large pot.
- Add 2 cups of the reserved pork broth to the pot.
- If there is not enough broth, add water to make up 2 cups.
- Stir in the shredded pork and canned green chilies.
- Simmer the chili over low heat for at least one hour, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with warm tortillas.
