Swiss-Inspired Sweet Delight

Ingrediënten
- 1 recipe Sweet Filled Bread Rings
- ¼ cup sugar for topping
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon water
Instructies
Prepare the Dough:
- Follow steps 1 and 2 of the Sweet Filled Bread Rings recipe for preparing and kneading the dough.
- Do not let it rise at this stage.
Shaping the Rolls:
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into an oval and cut a slit lengthwise down the center of each oval.
- Place these rolls on a cookie sheet and allow them to rise in a warm place (like an oven turned off) for about 3 hours until they double in size.
- Fill the slit in each roll with about 1 teaspoon of sugar.
Preheat and Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Lightly beat the egg with 1 teaspoon of water in a small bowl.
- Brush this egg wash over the tops of the rolls, avoiding the sugared part.
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until they turn well browned.
Serving:
- Serve the Suizos warm, fresh from the oven or reheated.
