Tuna Melts on Tomatoes
Put aside those carb-filled English muffins, tuna salad doesn’t need them anymore! Choose ripe red tomatoes for slices that will be the base for this tasty meal.

- 170 grams canned tuna in water drained
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle finely chopped
- ¾ tablespoon celery finely chopped
- ¾ tablespoon peeled and finely chopped brown onion
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 thick slices of a large tomato
- 1 small avocado peeled, pitted and cut into 8 slices
- ½ cup grated mild Cheddar cheese
Instructies
- Combine tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, celery, onion, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
- Preheat air fryer at 180°C for 3 minutes.
- Cut a piece of baking paper to fit the bottom of the air fryer basket.
- Place tomato slices on paper in single layer.
- Place two avocado slices on each tomato slice.
- Distribute tuna salad over avocado slices.
- Top evenly with cheese.
- Place stacks in ungreased air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes until cheese starts to brown.
- Serve warm.
