Barbecue Meatballs
This recipe is perfect as a side dish or an appetizer. Make it for the holidays, and it may soon become a family tradition. It has a buffetstyle feel that your guests and family will love!

of chili powder

1 ½
pounds
of ground beef

For the sauce:
▢

cup
of ketchup
▢
¾
cup
packed brown sugar
▢
¼
cup
of chopped onion
▢
½
teaspoon
of Liquid Smoke
optional
▢
¼
teaspoon
of garlic powder
Instructies
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Mix the first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Crumble the ground beef over the mixture and mix well.
Shape the meat mixture into 1-inch balls.
Place the meatballs on a lightly oiled rack in a thin baking pan.
Bake the meatballs (uncovered) for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink.
Drain, but keep the meatballs on the rack.
Meanwhile, combine all of the sauce ingredients in a saucepan.
Boil the mixture.
Reduce the heat and simmer for about two minutes.
Be sure to stir frequently.
Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
Bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes.
