Slow Cooker Turkey Meatballs
These turkey meatballs are slow-cooked to preserve their tenderness and flavor. These meatballs are spiced just right to make them perfect for your next pot luck. You can also serve these over pasta or as meatball subs.

large sweet onion
sliced

cans
of crushed tomatoes
28 ounces each

Chopped fresh basil
for serving (optional)
Instructies
Beat the egg in a large mixing bowl.
Add the turkey, Panko, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the mixing bowl and mix well.
Avoid over mixing.
Roll into golf-ball-sized meatballs.
Place the meatballs on a large baking sheet.
Place onion slices on the bottom of the crockpot.
Top with one of the cans of crushed tomatoes.
Coat a large skillet with remaining tablespoon of olive oil and heat over medium-high heat.
Lightly brown the meatballs for about 1 minute on each side.
Layer the crockpot with each batch.
Pour the remaining can of tomatoes on top.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 6 ½ hours.
Garnish with basil before serving.
