Middle Eastern Chicken Meatballs
These chicken meatballs are traditional in the Middle East. This dish can be eaten alone or these meatballs can be served in a pita pocket. It can also be served either hot or cold.

cooked chicken breasts
▢

slices
of white bread
crusts removed
▢
1
large egg
▢
Salt and pepper
to taste
▢
Juice of ½ of a lemon
▢
Flour
for rolling
▢
Oil
for frying
▢
Milk
for soaking bread
Instructies
Mince chicken with a food processor or chop the chicken extremely fine if a food processor is not available.
Soak bread in milk and squeeze the slices dry.
Rip the bread into pieces.
Combine the chicken, bread, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Mix well.
Shape the meat mixture into balls.
Meatballs should be 1 inch or less in size.
Roll the meatballs in flour and fry them in oil.
The meatballs will be dark golden when they are fully cooked.
Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice over each meatball.
