extra-virgin olive oil

garlic

ground cinnamon

white sugar

apricot preserves
▢

1/2 pound New York strip steaks, 1 inch thick
▢
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructies
Stir together, olive oil, garlic, sugar, cinnamon and apricot preserves.
Mix thoroughly to avoid preserves from sticking together.
Cut shallow slashes on both sides of the steaks, using a knife.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add steaks to the sauce, coat entirely.
Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat grill for high heat.
Grease the grill grate.
Discard the sauce and place steaks on the hot grill.
Cook for 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
