Drop Sugar Cookies
Ingrediënten
- 1 cup shortening softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 5 cups flour
Icing
- 6 Tbsp. butter at room temperature
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1 pound confectioner’s sugar sifted
- 5 Tbsp. milk
Instructies
- Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs.
- Mix in baking soda and powder, salt and vanilla.
- Add milk and flour alternately to creamed mixture.
- Bake at 350° for 10–12 minutes.
- Makes 10–11 dozen cookies
Icing
- Mix all ingredients together for 1 minutes.
- Spread on cooled cookies, or first divide into several parts and add different food colors to each part, to give variety.
