Yucatán Salsa Blanca
Yucatán White Sauce
This is the traditional gravy to serve with Yucatán Stuffed Turkey Breast with White Sauce. The sauce is also good as a topping over cauliflower or broccoli.

Makes about 2 cups

tablespoons
unsalted butter
▢
2
tablespoons
all-purpose flour
▢
2
cups
canned chicken broth or turkey broth
▢
Salt
to taste
Instructies
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Stir in the flour and cook, stirring, about 1 minute.
Remove the pan from and heat and add the broth all at once.
Whisk to mix.
Return the pan to the heat and whisk constantly until the sauce comes to a boil and thickens, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Add salt, if needed.
