Grapefruit, Orange, and Avocado Salad

The tartness of citrus fruits and the creaminess of avocado work ideally together. I like adding crunchy cabbage and dark green romaine lettuce to create this refreshing salad.

ruby grapefruit

navel oranges

Hass variety preferred, peeled and diced (½ inch)

red onion
very thinly sliced

olive oil

unseasoned rice vinegar

or to taste

freshly ground pepper
or to taste
Instructies
Put the cabbage, lettuce, and cilantro in a large bowl.
Cover and refrigerate.
Peel the grapefruit and the oranges and remove all the white pith.
Cut into bite-size pieces and put in a medium bowl.
Add the avocados, onion, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Combine and let marinate for about 10 minutes.
Add to the lettuce mixture and toss gently to mix.
Serve.
