Simple Syrup
Keep this ever-useful universal syrup in the refrigerator for sweetening all kinds of bar drinks.

Makes about 2½ cups
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
Instructies
- In a saucepan, mix the sugar and water.
- Bring to a slow simmer, stirring, until the sugar is melted, about 3 minutes.
- Cool.
- Store in a glass jar, covered, in the refrigerator.
- It keeps indefinitely.
