Applesauce Cake
Ingrediënten
- ½ cup shortening
- ½ teaspoon soda
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 or 1 ½ cups raisins
- 1 cup thick applesauce
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- ½ cup chopped nuts optional
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructies
- Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
- Add applesauce, then dry ingredients.
- Beat until smooth; fold in raisins and nuts.
- Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350º for 55 minutes.
- Serve plain or frosted, or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Can make in two loaves.
