Whole Wheat Quick Bread

whole wheat flour

cups
all-purpose flour
▢

teaspoon
salt
▢
1
teaspoon
baking soda
▢
1½
cups
buttermilk
▢
1
large
egg
▢
3
tablespoons
honey
▢
2
tablespoons
butter or margarine
melted
▢
¾
cup
chopped pecans
toasted (optional)
▢
3
tablespoons
uncooked regular oats
optional
Instructies
Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Combine buttermilk and next 3 ingredients; add to dry ingredients, stirring until blended.
Stir in pecans, if desired.
Pour batter into a well-greased 9- x 5-inch loaf pan.
Sprinkle with oats, if desired.
Bake at 375° for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center of bread comes out clean.
Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes.
Remove from pan, and cool completely on wire rack.
