Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast
Get creative with this not-so-ordinary French toast by trying different kinds of jelly or flavored syrups. Serve with fresh fruit and your favorite juice.

white sandwich bread slices

creamy peanut butter

teaspoons
grape jelly
▢

eggs
▢

cup
milk
▢

tablespoon
granulated sugar

Dash of ground cinnamon
▢

tablespoon
butter or margarine
▢
Powdered sugar
Instructies
Spread each of 4 bread slices with 1 teaspoon peanut butter.
Spread each of remaining bread slices with 1 teaspoon grape jelly; place on top of slices with peanut butter.
Stir together eggs and next 3 ingredients in a shallow dish.
Melt butter on a griddle over medium heat.
Dip sandwiches into egg mixture, evenly coating both sides.
Cook sandwiches 4 minutes on each side or until golden.
To serve, cut sandwiches in half diagonally, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serve immediately.
Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:
If using a large nonstick skillet instead of a griddle, melt butter and cook sandwiches in batches.
