Mirepoix

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced carrot
- 1 cup diced onion
Instructies
- Melt the butter in a large skillet.
- Add the diced celery, diced carrot, and diced onion.
- Sauté for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender.
- Let the mixture cool.
- Store the mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze it for up to 2 months.
- Note: Mirepoix (mihr-PWAH) is a classic French combination of aromatic vegetables used to enhance the flavor of various dishes, including soups and sauces.
- It consists of equal parts celery, onion, and carrot.
- Some variations include garlic and bell pepper.
