In a large bowl, beat the shortening, vanilla extract, and almond extract with a mixer on medium speed for about 30 seconds.
Slowly add about half of the powdered sugar, beating well to combine.
Add 2 tablespoons of milk to the mixture.
Gradually beat in the remaining powdered sugar and enough of the remaining milk to reach the desired spreading consistency.
