Instructies
Step 1: Potato Base
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
Place the hash brown potatoes in an even layer on the bottom of the baking dish.
Step 2: Sausage Symphony
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Cook and stir the sausage and onion until the sausage is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink; drain.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Pour the egg mixture over the potatoes.
Layer with half of the shredded Cheddar cheese, followed by the sausage mixture, and then the remaining Cheddar cheese.
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil.
Step 3: Baking Harmony
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
Remove the cover, return the casserole to the oven, and bake until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, about 10 minutes.
Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.
