In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.
Drain any excess fat.
Add the dried oregano, dried basil, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian salad dressing mix, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup to the skillet.
Mix well.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture until heated through and slightly thickened.
Serve the Hearty Cowboy Sloppy Joes on sandwich buns, each topped with a slice of provolone cheese.
