Instructies
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp.
Crumble the bacon, remove it to a plate, and set aside, reserving drippings in the skillet.
Brown ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic in the skillet with bacon drippings.
Drain excess fat.
Stir in salt, chili powder, and ground cumin.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water to the beef mixture.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 20 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
To serve, place a handful of corn chips in individual bowls.
Spoon the beef mixture and crumbled bacon over the chips.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
Garnish with finely diced red onion and diced jalapeño peppers.
Serve the famous corn chip pie to delight your taste buds.
