6largefresh mushrooms
1tablespoonmargarine or butter
1mediumsweet red peppercut into chunks
1mediumgreen peppercut into chunks
Instructies
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or preheat the broiler.
In a saucepan, simmer the sausage pieces in enough water to cover for 5 to 10 minutes until partially cooked; then drain.
In another saucepan, simmer the mushrooms in margarine or butter and enough water to cover for 3 to 4 minutes; then drain.
On skewers, alternately thread the partially cooked sausage pieces, mushrooms, and chunks of sweet red and green peppers.
Place the skewers on the preheated grill or under the broiler.
Grill or broil the skewers for 7 to 8 minutes on each side, or until the sausage is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
Remove the skewers from the grill or broiler and serve hot
