Yucatán Salsa Blanca
Yucatán White SauceThis is the traditional gravy to serve with Yucatán Stuffed Turkey Breast with White Sauce. The sauce is also good as a topping over cauliflower or broccoli.
Ingrediënten
Makes about 2 cups
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups canned chicken broth or turkey broth
- Salt to taste
Instructies
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook, stirring, about 1 minute.
- Remove the pan from and heat and add the broth all at once.
- Whisk to mix.
- Return the pan to the heat and whisk constantly until the sauce comes to a boil and thickens, about 6 to 8 minutes.
- Add salt, if needed.
