Grilled Oyster Mushrooms with Olive Oil and Garlic

Ingrediënten

Yields 4 Servings

  • 1 pound of oyster mushrooms rinsed, trimmed, and separated into individual “ears”
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • Kosher salt or sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

Instructies

  • Heat a greased stovetop griddle over high heat.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, and place the oyster mushrooms on the griddle.
  • Drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle the finely chopped garlic on top.
  • Use the back of a pancake turner to gently press the mushrooms to flatten them.
  • After a minute or so, flip the mushrooms, season them with salt, and continue cooking until they become tender.
  • Once the mushrooms are done, sprinkle them with the finely chopped parsley, and serve the dish while it’s hot.
